All registrants will need to sign an ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATED TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES prior to attending any in-person offerings.


ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATED TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

  • I wish to participate in a tax seminar (the “Event”) at an in-person event. By choosing to participate in-person, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risk of communicable diseases such as COVID-19 and that I understand the following:

    • Participation in this Event includes possible exposure to communicable diseases such as COVID-19. While public health rules and personal hygiene may reduce the risk, the risk of serious illness, long-term health complications and/or death does exist.

    • I am aware that communicable diseases such as COVID-19 can be highly contagious, and that there is a risk I may be exposed while participating in the Event. I understand and accept the Video Tax News Inc (“VTN”) does not guarantee my safety;

    • It is my sole responsibility to read, understand and follow the current, applicable, public health guidelines. It is also my responsibility to ensure that I adhere to applicable public health requirements.

    • I knowingly and freely assume all risk related to exposure to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 while participating in the Event, even if such risk arises from the negligence or fault of VTN.

    • I voluntarily agree to assume all risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss or expense that I may experience or incur if I am exposed to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 while participating at the Event.

  • In consideration of my participation in the Event, I acknowledge and assume the risk of negligence on the part of VTN, including the failure by VTN to safeguard or protect me from the risks, dangers and hazards associated with exposure to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 during my participation in the Event.

    I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims which I have or may have in the future against VTN, on account of personal injury, illness, disability, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to my participation in the Event due to exposure to communicable diseases such as COVID 19, including without limitation the negligence or breach of any statutory or other duty of care of VTN. I covenant and agree that I shall not make or bring any such claim against VTN, and forever release and discharge VTN from liability under such claims.

    I shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless VTN against any and all losses, damages, liability, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgement, settlement, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs or expenses of whatever kind, including reasonable legal fees, in connection with any third-party claim, suit, action, or proceeding that may arise if I willfully expose other participants to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 by attending the Event, or fail to adhere to public health requirements while attending the Event.

    This agreement is binding on and shall ensure to the benefit of VTN and me and our respective heirs, executors, administrators, trustees, legal and personal representatives, successors and assigns.

  • I acknowledge that I have carefully read and understand the terms of the Release and that I am voluntarily waiving substantial legal rights including the right to sue VTN in the event the I am exposed to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 while attending the Event.

  • I wish to participate in the Event in-person. As lawful consideration for being permitted by Video Tax News Inc. to participate in-person, I agree to all the terms and conditions set forth.
