Bill 17 was expected to be tabled in the house of commons on June 10, 2020, however, it appears that insufficient support was received from the opposition parties. This Bill was intended to introduce penalties in respect of CERB, extend previously announced deadlines, introduce disability support payments and amend CEWS for both new and previously announced measures.
The next opportunity for Parliament to pass it, or a modified version, will be when they reconvene on June 17, 2020.
